BMC Software Joins Forces with SAP for More Robust Job Scheduling Solution

BMC Software has announced the development of new CONTROL-M batch scheduling functionalities for SAP solutions. A joint development agreement between BMC Software and SAP to establish new batch scheduling standards (XPB2.0) for SAP solutions, has led to these advanced CONTROL-M capabilities. New functionalities include increased automation that enables SAP solution administrators to manage and monitor dynamic “mass-parallel” jobs, and a prioritizing mechanism that will allow administrators to control and pre-define ad-hoc jobs in order to eliminate uncontrolled workloads. Unisys ES7000 Tops Windows-Based Servers in Two-Tier SAP Standard Application Benchmark

Unisys has announced that the Unisys ES7000 server has been tested under the SAP Standard Application Sales and Distribution (SD) Benchmark for two-tiered configurations, and has achieved simulated user workload with an average dialog response time of 1.84 seconds — equivalent to 135,670 fully business processed order line items per hour. Unisys claims the best two-tiered configuration performance achieved by a server with fewer than 24 processors, and that for enterprises relying on large-scale SAP solutions, the test showed the ability of the Unisys ES7000, combined with Microsoft and Intel technology, to outperform larger Unix/RISC-based servers. Virsa Offers New Release of Security Audit Tool
