IBM SAP Alliances and StreamServe Collaborate to Release Universal Document Services for SAP



IBM has announced Universal Document Services (UDS) for SAP, a strategic initiative that allows organizations to streamline and standardize internal and external business document processes. UDS combines open standards such as XML with solution offerings from IBM, SAP, and StreamServe to address key business requirements. UDS facilitates automated business document communication and integrates a company’s processes with those of its employees, customers, and suppliers. The StreamServe Business Communication Platform (BCP) provides specific function to UDS that enables personalized document communication. Recipients can receive information in a format they are able to accept, and send information in a form supported by their internal systems.

Acsis and Matrics Provide RFID Technology and Data Collection for SAP Users

Acsis, Inc. and Matrics, Inc. have entered into a strategic partnership to integrate Matrics’ Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology into the Acsis Data-Link suite of solutions that support SAP systems, enabling data collection capabilities that comply with the MIT Auto-ID Center standards. The Acsis Data-Link suite provides real-time visibility into the extended supply chain, taking users’ data from the warehouse and factory floor, using technologies like RFID and barcodes, and aggregating it into data that can be shared with external suppliers and customers.
