Are You Confident in Your Compliance Processes?

Today’s compliance mandates have sharp teeth, and corporate leaders need a firm strategy for sidestepping compliance disasters. SAP has developed a Webinar series for executives that highlights both the challenges and opportunities created by regulatory compliance.

Today's compliance mandates affect all parts of the business — from accounting to HR, from design to customer service. These mandates have very sharp teeth; costly fines can be levied, potentially shutting down operations or even putting executives behind bars. Compliance is, without a doubt, a key concern on the radar screens of most C-level executives and board members. Corporate leaders need a firm strategy for preventing compliance disasters in their company.

Think Processes, Not Projects

To support executives in their regulatory efforts, SAP has developed a two-part Webinar series on corporate governance and compliance. Webinar participants will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the perils of noncompliance and the often-overlooked rewards of implementing sound compliance processes. Business leaders will see how some companies are making the vital transition from a tactical, siloed approach to compliance to a more strategic, integrated approach geared toward increasing competitive advantage.

The Webinar series brings industry experts together to discuss both the challenges and strategic opportunities of regulatory compliance. Seeing a tremendous gap in the educational materials available to C-level and compliance managers today, SAP's aim was to work with industry leaders who have a finger on the pulse of the market and who have the knowledge tools to fill this critical gap. The Webinars have been developed by leading editors in the finance and manufacturing arenas to provide a unique, profession-specific educational opportunity.

Featured Compliance Topics

The Webinars will run as two separate series, each featuring three Webcasts:

Business Finance: A New Perspective on Information-Intensive Regulations
Top experts from the business, consulting, legal, and IT communities will explore key compliance issues in accounting, finance, and transparency. This series' Webcast topics include:

  • Sustainable Compliance

  • The Future of Auditing Standards

  • Best Practices in Compliance and Governance

Managing Automation: Two Sides of a Complex Compliance Equation
This series will explore the dualfold challenge manufacturers face as they seek to synchronize compliance with their manufacturing and business processes. Participants will gain quick insight on how to plan an IT strategy for automation, integrate a compliance strategy with IT architecture, make the right systems and software investments, and manage related costs and personnel. The featured Webcasts are:

  • Organizing for Compliance

  • Automating for Compliance

  • Managing Compliance

Specific topics include Sarbanes-Oxley, Global Trade, FDA rules on electronic records and electronic signatures (21 CFR Part 11), the TREAD Act, the RoHS and WEEE Directives, and the USA PATRIOT Act.
