Informatica and SAP Agree to Provide Strategic Data Integration Initiatives for Customers

Informatica Corporation signed a worldwide Master Relationship Agreement with SAP AG and a Go-to-Market Agreement with SAP America, Inc.; both agreements focus on increasing data migration time-to-value for SAP customers. Through the Master Relationship Agreement partnership, Informatica will work with SAP services organizations to provide SAP customers with best practices for source-data profiling, as well as technologies designed to help mitigate the risks and increase the effectiveness of data migration, system consolidation, and other strategic data integration projects. Informatica plans to make its data-profiling option, which includes connectivity to all projected source systems, available to SAP customers so they can profile and analyze the state, quality, and consistency of their source data.

 

Approva BizRights Certified to Integrate with SAP ECC 5.0/mySAP ERP 2004

Approva Corporation's BizRights Adapter Version 3.0 has been certified for integration with SAP ECC 5.0 and mySAP ERP 2004. A component of the BizRights Platform, which enables BizRights to interface with ERP and business applications, the BizRights Adapter is a collection of ABAP modules designed to extract a variety of data with efficiency and scalability. The BizRights Adapter can also perform provisioning tasks, such as creating user accounts and assigning or revoking roles. To achieve certification, the BizRights Adapter Version 3.0 was installed and run on SAP Web Application Server 6.40 and tested with data from an SAP ECC 5.0/mySAP ERP 2004 production landscape.

 

Livelink Enterprise Archive Server 9.5 Gains SAP Integration Certification

Open Text Corporation announced that SAP awarded additional archiving software certification to Open Text's Livelink Enterprise Archive Server 9.5 for its integration with the WebDAV for Data Archiving interface (called BC-DAR 6.40). BC-DAR 6.40 was rolled out with SAP Web Application Server 6.40 and is SAP's newest standard interface for linking archives to SAP solutions. Livelink Enterprise Archive Server for SAP solutions is designed to store SAP business operation and transaction information in an accessible archive to improve system performance and help customers speed backup and recovery of their systems. The solution is also designed to reduce costs and compliance risks by offering a single, searchable, tamper-proof repository for all information on a lower-cost storage platform.

FormScape announced FormScape V3.3, the newest version of its FormScape V3 document output, storage, and retrieval software. Versions of FormScape V3.3 have been specifically designed for SAP All-in-One environments. FormScape V3.3 includes several infrastructure improvements, such as enhanced support for a wider range of business systems, simplified day-to-day management, and improved user productivity. The new version also offers support for Web services, the Red Hat Linux platform, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, HTML document creation and HTML email delivery, and MAPI email server integration. FormScape V3.3 is designed to enable business systems to automatically produce, manage, and deliver premium-branded business documents across paper and electronic formats.

The MIC component is designed to allow companies to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley mandates by modeling business processes, testing results, and assessing control processes that may need improvement. Redwood's Cronacle for SAP solutions is designed to automate these control processes as event-driven or scheduled jobs, thus eliminating the costs of manual processing errors.

Post-Purchase Transactions for SAP Users

Sabrix, Inc. released Sabrix Tax for SAP Goods Movement, an application designed to help SAP R/3 users calculate and record tax related to goods-movement transactions. The solution is intended to help users improve their use-tax determination and gain accurate timing of tax accruals for purchased products. Realizing companies often overestimate their tax liabilities or commit cash reserves too early, Sabrix designed the solution both to allow customers to determine tax liability by selecting multiple goods-movement options for SAP-recorded transactions, and to enable tax professionals to simulate the results of post-purchase transactions so they can manage the impact of tax policies before the results are posted to the SAP general ledger. Sabrix Tax for SAP Goods Movement uses SabrixConnection for SAP to integrate with SAP R/3 and provide an audit trail for tax and regulatory compliance purposes.

 

Avaya Announces Joint Customer Relationship Management Solution

Avaya, Inc. announced an alliance agreement with SAP America, Inc. to jointly provide a solution that integrates the multichannel communications routing and management capabilities of Avaya Interaction Center software with mySAP CRM software. By incorporating the capabilities of Avaya's Interaction Center software, the solution is designed to enable customer service agents to interact with customers through voice, email, and Web communication channels using their mySAP CRM console, thus improving the quality and time-to-resolution of enterprise transactions. The solution is designed to help SAP customers achieve higher levels of customer service and business agility by putting the appropriate agent in touch with inbound customers in a timely manner.
