New Infoshuttle Application Facilitates Test Script Development

Gamma Enterprise Technologies

Gamma Enterprise Technologies announced the availability of its InfoShuttle Rapid Test, an enhancement to the Infoshuttle Data On Demand solution. The new application is designed to automate test data management by making it easier to develop functional and regression test scripts for HP Quality Management products used to test SAP applications. Infoshuttle Rapid Test allows users to identify the correct data when creating HP QuickTest Professional scripts, helping minimize script errors, improve the reusability of test cases, and increase testing efficiency.

Test Results Find Radware Solutions Accelerate User Response Times

Radware announced that SAP's Enterprise Services Community Networking Lab (ENL) found that its APSolute suite of applications provided up to 90% improvement in end-user response times for critical transactions, and that Radware's behavioral security module enabled 100% continuity of transactions under simulated denial-of-service flood attacks. These results are from ENL's evaluation of APSolute's compatibility with SAP solutions for enterprise service-oriented architecture environments. APSolute is designed to perform application delivery functions including health monitoring, caching, and compression.

Compass Platform Poised to Speed Remote SAP Solution Access

Expand Networks

Expand Networks is working to optimize the performance of SAP solutions for remote users over the wide area network (WAN) with their Compass platform. The low-bandwidth, high-latency environment of the WAN can cause SAP applications to run more slowly for remote access users. The Compass platform is designed to mitigate this lag by prioritizing mission-critical SAP transactions over non-business and other Web traffic. This allows SAP customers operating over the WAN to increase network capacity, improve user productivity, and speed response times.

Informatica and SAP AG Strike
OEM Agreement

Informatica Corporation

Informatica Corporation, a provider of data integration software, recently entered into an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) relationship with SAP AG. Under the agreement, SAP will embed Informatica's PowerCenter, PowerExchange, and Metadata Manager software into its performance management and analytics applications, as well as into SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management and SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence. The embedded software is designed to allow companies to better collect and analyze data from non-SAP, third party, and legacy systems.

Esker Offers New Mail Services for SAP Applications

Esker released its new Esker Mail Services for SAP applications, a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution designed to allow companies to send documents via postal mail directly from their SAP systems. Users submit documents from any SAP module to the Esker on Demand mail facility, where the documents are printed, folded, stuffed into envelopes, stamped, and handed off to the postal service on the same day. Each piece of mail gets a unique barcode, enabling traceability and removing the uncertainties and costs of lost documents.

SAP Partner Companies Establish International Association

International Association for SAP Partners (IA4SP)

SAP partner companies have formed an association — headquartered in the SAP Partner Port in Walldorf, Germany — dedicated to connecting SAP ecosystem partners. This group, the International Association for SAP Partners (IA4SP), was founded to provide SAP partner companies with an organizational framework to collaborate with SAP and each other. The IA4SP will bring SAP ecosystem partners' common interests — such as certifications, support processes, and interface standardization — to SAP to promote focused dialog and collaboration.
