IBM and SAP Unveil First Joint Software Solution



IBM and SAP announced the release of their first joint software product: Alloy software by IBM and SAP. Alloy allows users to access information and data from SAP Business Suite applications through the Lotus Notes collaboration software interface. Out-of-the-box functionality includes tools to manage reports, leave and travel requests, and workflow decisions; businesses can also customize the software to their specific processes. Both IBM and SAP will sell the initial release of the software, which was codenamed “Atlantic” during development. Hanse Orga Announces New Version of Its Moneta Software

Hanse Orga AG, a provider of treasury management and accounting solutions, released version 3.0 of its Moneta software for use with SAP solutions. The new release of this modular financial management application includes a Cash Position Worksheet, an interactive cash-planning tool that’s designed to provide a group-wide, real-time view of a company’s cash position. Version 3.0, which includes many new features specific to the European markets, is also designed to help users track bank value date conditions and costs, benchmark the interest rates of mutual funds, and make mass changes to forecasts.

iRise Releases New Version of Its Visualization Solution


Visualization solutions provider iRise released a new version of iRise Definition Center for organizations to use when implementing packaged SAP solution-based applications. The updated version, designed to shorten requirements cycle times for customization projects, includes preconfigured templates, masters, and styles that allow customers to visualize proposed modifications to SAP applications before they are coded. SAP customers can use iRise Definition Center as an alternative to “sandbox” environments and instead quickly create a preview of proposed implementations.
