A: SAP TechEd events are physical manifestations of the worldwide SAP community. The SAP Community Network (SCN) is comprised of the SAP Developer Network, the Business Process Expert Community, and the SAP BusinessObjects Community. Q: What new or ongoing programs can attendees look forward to this year?

A: We always listen closely to attendee feedback, and we are continuing to focus on both technical and business process content. There are a lot of interesting and fun side activities during the conference, but attendees say that they return year after year for the premium content delivered by SAP experts. Attendees will have access to hundreds of hours of instructor-led, hands-on training on a wide variety of subjects. They can also take advantage of networking events, evening events (like Attendee Appreciation Night), the Community Clubhouse, keynote presentations, the partner exhibit hall, SAP solution pods, the famous Demo Jam, and much more.

This year, attendees will have more options for learning and consuming content than ever before, including many virtual offerings. We’re also encouraging people to connect with us in new ways — for example, through various social media channels like Twitter ( and Facebook ( We’re always excited to expand the ecosystem and explore new ways for people to get directly involved in SAP TechEd.

Q: Why should people attend the conference in this economy?

A: SAP TechEd is now more important than ever. Employees around the world need to stay current with new developments and receive training on established, proven technologies to remain effective and indispensable in their roles.

SAP TechEd remains an efficient, dynamic educational event. Attendees always tell us they are able to learn so much in a short amount of time that they consider SAP TechEd a “must attend” event. Our satisfaction rates are consistently high — over 96% of SAP TechEd 2008 attendees said they would recommend the conference. That’s pretty amazing!
