It's all about "the look"

I was reading Davin's blog on the iPhone and user experience today, and I noticed that he mentioned CRM 7.0. One factor behind 7.0's high adoption rate (so far) and the reason it's piqued people's interest is its much-improved, intuitive user interface (UI), technically known as the CRM WebClient UI.

In addition to the CRM WebClient UI categories page on the CRM Expert website (which contains info about the UI in CRM 2007, too), there are several other WIS resources you can look into for more information on what's been improved in the CRM UI over the years and how you can take advantage of it. Volker Hildebrand's new article for SAPinsider, "What's Your Customer Experience Advantage? New CRM Innovations from SAP Help Companies Empower Their Employees and Gain a Competitive Edge," covers a wide range of user experience im provements beyond the UI. It's also available in full to anyone.

If you're in the mood for (or really need!) a good long read, there's a comprehensive guide to the WebClient UI in 2007 or 7.0 available: SAP CRM Web Client Customizing and Development, an in-depth SAP PRESS book by Michael Füchsle and Matthias Zierke.

If you're a CRM Expert subscriber, I recommend looking at the list of the top 10 articles of 2009. You can see what other SAP CRM professionals have been reading - and notice, as I did, how many of the popular articles clearly relate to the ever-important goal of increasing user experience.
