I had a great interview with a potential Reporting & Analytics speaker today. He’s from a well-known SAP customer and over the years has represented his organization very well by delivering customer case studies on its behalf at many of our events. In the past, he’s educated our attendees on everything from SAP NetWeaver BW and SAP BusinessObjects report optimization, to data management activities. Today he and I spoke about the end-user experience.
This customer—what the heck, let’s call him John—recently transitioned his report end-users from SAP Business Explorer tools to SAP BusinessObjects solutions. Along the way, he managed to keep his end-users happy and reports running quickly and efficiently. John understands the importance of matching the right tool to the right job and audience. He also mentioned how crucial it was to have a clearly defined roadmap for phasing in the new toolsets. Another interesting way John is building positive momentum among end-users is through mobile applications.
