Ok, so that was just dinner tonight after a great day 1 at SAPPHIRE NOW. In addition to my hot dining deliciousness, a hot item at the sessions I attended was the concept of "in-memory" technology.

It seems every session I was at included at least one mention of this term. Hasso Plattner is due to talk more about this concept during his SAPPHIRE NOW keynote on Wednesday.

According to Plattner, in-memory technology keeps all analytical data in the system's main memory, thereby enabling faster drill-down into data and quicker data analysis.

I am looking forward to hearing more about this concept as SAPPHIRE NOW continues. In the meantime, you might want to check out these recent articles that discuss SAP and in-memory technology.

What are your thoughts on this technology? How can it help you with your analytic requirements?
