Off and running at SAPPHIRE with a hot CRM session

ORLANDO, FL -- And ... they're off. Tens of thousands of SAP disciples cramming into the cavernous Orange County Convention Center for the annual SAPPHIRE NOW Conference.

So what's hot so far? CRM, of course. I sat in on a morning session called CRM with BI - Sales and Marketing Implementation at Agilent Technologies, and had they packed one more person in there, the Orlando fire chief would have broken out in a cold sweat.

It gets me all pumped and jacked just thinking about CRM2011,which makes a return here next March. CRM implementations and upgrades are en fuego!

Agilent speakers Scott Allen and Susan Kreno presented a case study on how they were able to manage a successful implementation, and EVEN get their sales team to happily use the solution upon go live.

More to come as the day unfolds. Right now, we're about 15 minutes away from this morning's main keynote with former VP Al Gore and Sir Richard Branson of Virgin. I'm hoping Al chastises Sir Richard for using too much jet fuel. Unlikely, of course, but wouldn't that make for an interesting exchange?

Stay tuned. I'll let you know what else unfolds here at SAPPHIRE.
