Coming to you live from HR Europe in Barcelona!!!

by Amy Thistle

November 10, 2010

The HR Europe 2010 event is happening this week in beautiful Barcelona Spain. It’s only day one of the main conference, but jumpstart day was a huge success and I am getting a lot of great feedback from the attendees on both the jumpstarts they attended yesterday and the sessions this morning. Everyone seems to be very excited about their upcoming and ongoing SAP ERP HCM projects.

Jumpstart day opened my eyes to the huge amount of people focusing on employee self-service (ESS) and manager self-service (MSS) projects. The jumpstart session we ran yesterday afternoon was very well attended.

Those who attended Jeremy Master’s jumpstart on “Strategies, techniques and opportunities for leveraging SAP functionality for employee self-service and manager self-service were craving information on the new self-services features available in SAP enhancement package 5. Other questions during the jumpstart focused around authorization concepts, user reaction to self-services implementations and upgrades, and upgrade recommendations.

Some people attended who hadn’t yet implemented self-services and they just wanted to see what employee and manager self-service was all about!  Those attendees reported enjoying the many demos Jeremy showed of self-service functionality as well as the in-depth education they received on the functionality.

There will be many more exciting things happening at this event that I’ll be “reporting on” make sure you stay tuned to my blog this week so you don’t miss anything!

Sorry you missed this exciting and informational event?  Don’t worry. We will be holding an HR event in the US in March at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV March 8 – 11, 2001. Visit www.sapinsiderhr2011.com for more information.
