There may be certain new hires who warrant stretching the rules for, such as through negotiated leave entitlement, which is additional paid time off for a new employee based on an agreement with the employer.
A newly posted article on HR Expert discusses how you can use standard configuration in SAP ERP HCM to automate declining negotiated leave balances.
Author Jennifer Adams, a principal consultant with AspireHR, explains how Time Evaluation rules in HCM allow you to forgo manual calculations and adjustments to quota balances.
“By automating this process, you not only relieve HR from the task of adjusting vacation for select employees each year, but once this process is established and the initial entry is performed, the system takes over the calculation and creation of the appropriate amounts,” Adams writes.
