SAP BusinessObjects, Food, and Wine

Many BI folks I know are heading down to the 2010 SAP BusinessObjects User Conference in Orlando in a couple of weeks. (I will be sad to miss it, but 10-year anniversaries happen, well, only every 10 years.)

For those who are planning on staying an extra day or so, you are in luck because the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin is hosting the First Annual Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic on October 8 and 9 (yep, just one day after the conference ends and doesn’t everyone need a little food and wine after all that learning?) During the “classic” you can participate in the following “educational” (S&D’s word, honest!) sessions:

  • Wine Blending Seminar
  • Riesling Rendezvous
  • Modern Mixology
  • All Things Sake
  • Beer, Please!
  • Bubbles

Each night you can attend the above beverage seminars from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Then, head on over to the causeway to visit the tasting stations from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Six Swan & Dolphin restaurants are participating:

  • Todd English’s bluezoo
  • Shula’s Steak House
  • Il Mulino New York Trattoria
  • Kimonos
  • The Fountain Eats and Sweets
  • Cabana Bar and Beach Club

And if that’s not enough for you, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is also going on right across Crescent Lake! Mmmm …
