Allow me to be the first to virtually welcome you to fabulous Las Vegas as we kick off our Financials 2011, HR 2011, and GRC 2011 conferences here from the poolside Conference Center at the expansive MGM Grand Hotel, Resort, and Casino.
Today, it’s Jump Start Day. Tomorrow, it’s a full slate of sessions for the more than 3,000 SAP professionals who will hike on over from their hotel rooms, traveling past the giant golden lion in the lobby, real lions in a glass-enclosed habitat, and thousands of clanging “one-armed bandits.”
Trust me. It’ll be well worth the hike!
There are scores of great sessions this week, but please excuse me being a little partial when I tell you that my favorites will be the Experts Live sessions. Across the three events, there are 12 Expert Live sessions this week, during which one of our authors will hold court around an article that he or she wrote.
Here’s a preview of Day 1, when we’ll feature four Expert Live sessions.
- Paul Ovigele of Ovigele Consulting discusses his Financials Expert Article: "Structure consumption accounts to reflect the true cost of sales"
- Venki Krishnamoorthy of SAP America, discusses the HR Expert article: "Tips for using the succession management component to optimize talent management"
- Jeremy Masters, Worklogix then talks about his HR Expert article: "Top 10 tips for enterprise compensation management"
- Finally on Tuesday, it’s Danielle Larocca of SpinifexIT talking about her HR Expert article: "Best practice design for HCM personnel structure and employee status fields"
Stay tuned for more, including coverage right here of these informative sessions.
