w to get the most bang for your buck with this latest enhancement package.
You also learn about the technical requirements for implementing the new enhancement package, and details about what is new with EhP5.
In this excerpt from the article, Venki details two of the new features of EhP5 — how you can automatically delimit talent relationships and migrate new data to the new Talent Management model.
Automatically Delimit Talent Relationships
If you are a user of SAP ERP HCM Talent Management implemented prior to enhancement package 5, you can execute report RPTMC_ADJUST_TM_RELATIONS (clean-up of inconsistent successor and talent assignments) to display inconsistent talent assignments in the system.
The following relationships are displayed:
- A740 – Successor assignment to a position
- A743 – Assignment to a talent group
- A744 – Indication of a talent’s potential for a job family
The inconsistent assignments are displayed in the report output and they can be deleted directly. The report records all delimitations in a log. The talent management specialist can access this log in the launch pad. You are required to execute this report only once, as the system automatically delimits the inconsistent assignments.
The automatic delimitation occurs whenever there is a change in the employment status of an employee from active to left company, pensioner, or inactive.
Migration of Data to the New ERP HCM Talent Management Model
In enhancement package 5, there are several data migration reports available that enable you to migrate data from the following old models:
- Career and Succession Planning (available prior to ECC 6.0)
- Data for Succession Planning bas
ed on E-Recruiting (available in ECC 6.0) to the new data model SAP ERP HCM Talent Management (available in enhancement package 4)
