Creating a Business Blueprint in SAP Solution Manager can time consuming, and Capgemini's Prakhar Saxena knows this all too well. In his latest Solution Manager Expert article, "How to Quickly Create Business Blueprints in SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Using Content Upload Interface," he notes that he's had projects where it's taken weeks to gather the appropriate data and upload the necessary business scenarios into Solution Manager.
Prakhar found that Solution Manager 7.1 possessed a new feature, Content Upload Interface, that dramatically reduced the time involved.
With this feature, you can simply ask for input from the leads of various areas regarding the business scenarios or processes. You then combine this information in the format you require. You upload the data in another format and a structure is automatically created in SAP Solution Manager 7.1. It works for different types of projects, including implementation, maintenance, upgrade, and template projects. The biggest advantage here is you can format content for a project using a file processing program offline on a local system and later upload it to SAP Solution Manager.
Prakhar explains the prerequisites for using the functionality, and then details a 14-step procedure (with detailed screenshots) to explain how to set up and use Content Upload Interface.
