After 140 years in business, global technology giant Ericsson knows a thing or two about staying at the forefront of a changing industry. @Rony. Yes, Ericsson did use ChaRM but found that it couldn't effectively support the CI/CD approach they wanted to take. In particular they were unable to integrate SAP delivery through ChaRM with GitLab (the driver of their integrated CI/CD process). The adoption of short agile development sprints and ability to automatically co-ordinate across applications were key to the project (as opposed to simply delivering to production on a more frequent basis). There were also other factors which we'd be happy to discuss in more detail. Please feel free to get in touch at if you're interested.

I just wonder whether there was any use of Solution Manager ChaRM processes before the introduction of ActiveControl, or whether there were only spreadsheets with TR lists. We are deploying weekly releases over +10 SAP landscapes (ECC, CRM, FICA, PI/PO,..) each with 2 or 3 non-prod systems, and control all from within Solution Manager where also everybody has a perfect view on where is what change. The only problem area we have, are the Portal solutions where CTS+ cannot cover all object types automatically, and deployments require manual interventions in between the different steps. Anyone any experience with that?
