In our recently published SAPinsider research report on SAP S/4HANA in the Cloud, SAP customers were asked about their ERP cloud strategy and the current status of their move to SAP S/4HANA. Here we share some of the key insights we learned from looking at the data specific to customers who are in the retail and distribution market sector who we found were much more focused on the centralization and harmonization of their ERP systems than respondents in other market sectors. 

They were also seeing a demand for the faster deployment of SAP instances and the need for real-time processing of data, which indicated that they are looking to align much of the distributed data inherent to their global organizations and bring it together into a consolidated system that provides them with a single version of the truth.
