SAP and IBM have partnered to develop their first joint software product. Known as "Atlantic," the product is designed to allow casual business users — those who likely do not have access to SAP Business Suite — access to SAP workflows, reporting and analytics, and user roles from Lotus Notes. To users, Atlantic will look and feel like Lotus Notes. The first version of the product is anticipated to be released in Q4 of 2008 and will be sold by both SAP and IBM.
