It’s Jumpstart Day here at the Disney Contemporary Resort in Orlando, and the Projects/Reporting, Planning and Analysis 2010 events are in full swing!
The Contemporary is a great venue, right on the water, and the heat in Orlando is close to an all-time-high (we were only two degrees away this morning!). The Jumpstart Day sessions have all been well-attended, whether the focus be on SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation or PMP certification.
The great thing about the Projects and Reporting, Planning and Analysis co-location is the peer-to-peer networking it sparks. I just popped into Doug Whittle’s Jumpstart session, “The project manager’s toolkit for effectively communicating and managing organizational change,” and all attendees were seated at roundtables, ready to share their own project management stories (both good and bad, I’m sure). The exchange of ideas between attendees is one thing that this management- and reporting-based event lends itself to really well… and I guess Doug Whittle’s persistence on participation helps the cause :)
More updates to come, as we get ready for Day One tomorrow!
