If you’re waiting for SAP CRM enhancement package 1, good news: The release should be out within two months.
“We expect this enhancement package [to be] available by May 2011,” said Dr. Volker Hildebrand, vice president of CRM Product Management at SAP.
As part of the build-up for our CRM 2011 conference March 22-25 in Orlando, I recently conducted an interview with Hildebrand. Registered members of Insider Learning Network can hear the full interview by logging in and then clicking “Member-only Resources” along the right-hand column. If you haven’t registered for Insider Learning Network, please do so for free.
Enhancement package 1 offers new analytic tools straight from the SAP BusinessObjects toolset and improved features that support cooperation among users (such as instant messaging and document sharing).
SAP wants to make it easy for customers to “simply pick and choose the enhancements they want and need, and turn them on quickly,” Hildebrand said.
also previewed his session at our CRM 2011 conference, “SAP CRM solution roadmap: The latest features and future plans,” which takes place March 22 and March 23 (attendees can choose the day that best fits their schedule).
At the roadmap session, he’ll talk about mobility (a “huge topic,” he said), give a sneak peek of the redesigned SAP CRM web channel function, and provide details about SAP Sales OnDemand.
I’ll also be at CRM 2011, so I hope to meet many of you there.
