SAPPHIRE NOW, the world’s largest SAP user conference, is set to kick off next week in Orlando, Florida along with the ASUG Annual Conference, allowing SAP customers the advantage of attending both events in one location. The  combined conference is a plethora of knowledge with over 600 ASUG member-driven sessions, nearly 260 exhibitors, and countless demonstrations. With all of these resources available, how will you know where to begin?

Avoid being overwhelmed with help from the SAPinsider and insiderPROFILES April-June 2012 magazines. Go into SAPPHIRE NOW’s 5 Learning Campuses (Analytics, Cloud, Database and Technology, Mobile, and Run Better) with knowledge that will help you ask the right questions about the most important topics.

For example, SAPinsider’s Cloud Applications Special Report, “The Cloud Holds the Key: SAP and SuccessFactors Accelerate Innovation for Customers,” explains how SAP, with the help of the recently acquired SuccessFactors, plans to innovate within the cloud market. Likewise, you can visit the Mobile Learning Campus prepar ed to dig deeper after reading the Mobile Special Report: “Mobile: The New Face of Engagement.”

Many of the SAP executives planning to speak at SAPPHIRE NOW have also written articles in the April-June issue of SAPinsider. If you plan on attending Usman Sheikh’s session on consumer apps versus enterprise apps, it may be useful to read his article “Mobility in the Enterprise: Let the Games Begin” to discover how SAP and its ecosystem of partners can help your company get ahead of the mobility race. Or, if SAP HANA is your topic of choice, Scott Leatherman’s article, “Powered by SAP HANA: Partners Help Push SAP’s In-Memory Platform into Its Next Phase” is a good supplement to his session on SAP HANA and social media.

SAPPHIRE NOW is also an opportunity to meet with exhibiting partners to see how their solutions can help your company thrive. To get a better idea of how partner solutions have already aided companies, check out these SAP customer case studies in the insiderPROFILES April-June issue:

  • High Expectations, Lower Downtime at CSR”: Building products supplier CSR details how a solution from Cisco helped reduce SAP system outages and automate IT processes, ultimately making CSR a more stable and successf ul company.
  • Data Storage at McCormick”: The flavorings maker discusses how the company was able to reduce its database size by 50% with help from IBM, allowing the company to save time and money.

And once you’ve got all that covered, check out SAP mentor Jon Reed’s SAPPHIRE NOW preview in his latest Insider Learning Network Podcast: Talkin' 'Bout Consulting Fraud (and SAPPHIRE NOW) with Jon Reed.
